about
If you haven't been to Cincinnati we have a lovely death structure known as the Brent Spence Bridge which connects Ohio and Kentucky via I-75. Once again it is currently closed because two big rigs exploded at 3AM. This song actually started a month prior to that incident and the second verse was added after. So enjoy the fruits of this city's suffering!
lyrics
If you're travelling round Cincinnati town there's a crossing that you should avoid
It should be feared by every man and woman and child be it girl or boy
Well it'll kill your daddy, your momma, and your pappy, your grandma, and your sisters too
Structural integrity ain't important to the city a new way you gotta choose
Take the big mac bridge down to 71
Take the Clay Wade Bailey just for fun
Take the Roebling Bridge and have it sing to ya pretty
When it ain't closed down to be worked on what a pity
It's a rusted crown, gonna fall down
It's the next big disaster in this town
You're holding your breath and cheating death when you cross over the Brent Spence bridge
It seems everyday another trucks in flames and it's closed down for work again
and adding road rage to a drinking town is like a spark meeting kindling
and you can't watch the game to take away your pain because we lose every chance we take
it's a fatty blood clot in the main artery of the midwest USA
So take the Big Mac Bridge down to 71
Take the Clay Wade Bailey but it ain't no fun
And the Roebling Bridge is closed down to the city
Because the big rigs are weighing it down, it's kinda shitty
A rusted crown in this queen city town
It's the most hated thing here next to Mike Brown
And you're holding your breath and cheating death when you cross over the Brent Spence Bridge
Well every single governor in my state says they're gonna make this a better byway but your ain't gonna fix it by making us pay for a toll road bridge with traffic everyday
And all the red tapes gonna drive you insane when you only cross the river just to buy cocaine
and you're holding your breath and cheating death when you cross over the Brent Spence Bridge
